A Message For The Soulful

This message is for the soulful, the ones who are complete beyond body andlife force and carry within themselves a soul that contains consciousness, memories, dreams, insight, love and inspiration. As I have mentioned in the past, -there are those who possess a body and a spirit but not a soul.

From the moment we are born, and we take our first breath, spirit fills our lungs, and we come alive. It is spirit that animates all life, from humans, plants and animals. Spirit is the lifeforce that permeated all things and energizes all of life. When a healer conducts a reiki healing session or a biofeedback, they are manipulating lifeforce energy and can instruct this energy to move, balance and harmonize. However, spirit has no consciousness or memory. It is simply a spark of the divine and when the body dies, the spirit returns to the all-encompassing universe of all energy.

Beyond the spirit is the soul and those who possess one must have the thoughts that I share. Soul has memories of prior incarnations; it beckons us to have meaning in life and a divine purpose. Because our souls are unique, we are quick to guard our individuality, we possess independent thought and demand a right to forge our own paths. We would not want to be forced into a herd where the group mind is utterly delusional. A person with a soul will not follow anyone blindly, they would question everything, seek to incorporate the truth into their being and contemplate life thoroughly. We understand that it is through deep intuitive thinking are we able to energize consciousness and feed the soul. If you have a soul, you would be highly concerned about the direction of the planet and more importantly, you will guard your soul lest you lose it to a meaningless world.

Purposelessness in a meaningless world

Deep within the core of all soulful beings, is a nudging sensation to find our true purpose. For in following our true purpose are we able to unlock the manifesting power of our unique gifts. Because of unhelpful forces on the planet that directly challenge humanity’s ability to find their purpose, much less follow it, we find ourselves focused on our basic material needs, our relationships and close ties and every now and then, we may attend to our spiritual needs. We fiddle away valuable time despite spirit nudging us to wake up and think about the things that truly matter. If people really know what the path to enlightenment entails, they will realize that we really don’t have that much time.

The disease of purposelessness is really a contemporary theme that has become more and more pronounced as humanity has learned to master the material world. Survival gives us a powerful purpose. In the West, we no longer fear our survival because we have created a society that supports everyone at a collective level. Almost no one in a wealthy advanced country will die of starvation and because of this, our fear has shifted to the fear of purposelessness. Instead of being afraid to die, people are more afraid to live. The fear of not finding our purpose is still really a dressed-up fear of death. The majority of people do not even want to think about whether they are fulfilling their true purpose or not because to do so is to look right into their deepest fears. The majority compromise and fall in line with the collective belief that they are trapped by the system — by money, by responsibilities, by taxes. By avoiding suffering at all costs, we have created systems that prevents the growth we are likely to acquire through pain and passion.

Forbearance

This message is not for the purposeless but those who accept the pain associated with growth. The Buddha spoke fervently about the virtue of forbearance as the catalyst for human growth and development. Just as a seed must forbear the pains of germination, humans must tolerate that pain associated with the growth of soul consciousness. By processing our good and bad experiences, we turn the dark knots of karma into true spiritual convictions. Only true conviction will feed and grow the human spirit. Just as a turtle remains in its eggshell for a limited time, while he utilizes that time to develop himself before the cracking of the shell, so also, humans will remain in their body/shell for a considerable length of time to develop from the inside before the cracking/death of the body.

Grow from the inside

No one can be born in the spiritual world with spiritual eyes without having first developed them in this physical world, any more than a child could be born with physical eyes, had they not already been formed within the mother’s womb. The purpose of our life here on earth is to develop ourselves from the inside. For once we came into this world because, being what we were, we needed the life it provided to acquire qualities unattainable in any other world. And we must remain bound to this world until we have developed within ourselves, everything that can here be gained. We shall someday become a useful collaborator in another world only by acquiring all the requisite faculties in this physical world.

A delusional system made mad by guilt – ACIM

The world you see is the delusional system of those made mad by guilt. Look carefully at this world, and you will realize that this is so. For this world is the symbol of punishment, and all the laws that seem to govern it are the laws of death. Children are born into it through pain and in pain. Their growth is attended by suffering, and they learn of sorrow and separation and death. Their minds seem to be trapped in their brain, and its powers to decline if their bodies are hurt. They seem to love, yet they desert and are deserted. They appear to lose what they love, perhaps the most insane belief of all. And their bodies wither and gasp and are laid in the ground and are no more.

Not one of them but has thought that God is cruel. If this were the real world, God would be cruel. For no Father could subject His children to this as the price of salvation and be loving. Love does not kill to save. If it did, attack would be salvation, and this is the ego’s interpretation, not God’s. Only the world of guilt could demand this, for only the guilty could conceive of it. Adam’s “sin” could have touched no one, had he not believed it was the Father Who drove him out of Paradise. For in that belief the knowledge of the Father was lost, since only those who do not understand Him could believe it.

This world is a picture of the crucifixion of God’s Son. And until you realize that God’s Son cannot be crucified, this is the world you will see. Yet you will not realize this until you accept the eternal fact that God’s Son is not guilty. He deserves only love because he has given only love. He cannot be condemned because he has never condemned. The Atonement is the final lesson he need learn, for it teaches him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation. – ACIM

The ultimate surrender

When I asked myself over and over again why I would incarnate in a purposeless world, the answer I get lies in the same reason Christ or the Buddha would incarnate. To teach humanity to be humane, show the world that it solves no problems, it cures no disease, achieves nothing by the ego and in the end, we would all surrender to the fate set by the divine.

Dare to think.
